The Pedestrian
- What is the theme of "The Pedestrian"? The theme of the pedestrian is to warry about technology.
- How does Bradbury get this message across? How do you know? He lets us know that everyone is inside their houses watching tv and not going outside to take a look of the real world.
- Describe the tone of the story. The tone is he goes one hundred years into the future and shown a world in which the machines control the humans.
- Why don't more people walk in 2018? I think people don’t walk anymore becuase they think cars is the future and it also helps us get faster to where we need to be.
- What do you think about self-driving cars? I think that they are save and not save at the same time becuase with just one small wrong thing in the wiring and it would go out of control and I also think there save becuase they have sensors in front and on the sides on of the car that help them drive.
- Do you think that technology such as self-driving cars, screen viewers, smartphones, and ear buds lead to more freedom/independence, isolation, or both? I think that it lead to both becuase now people have freedom to go anywear they what and listen to anything or even watch a event they couldn’t make it but there also in isolation becuase there not out there living it and just focused on their phones.
