                                                                        Hamlet Essay

In Hamlet, it’s about a Royale family that has a lot of problems and instead of arguing about it they should fix it. In the play, Hamlet, you can see it in different ways. It depends on the way you think and process it in your mind. While this play goes on, you can end up relating to it at some points of the play. A dynamic character doesn’t mean they change fully, they can just change a bit. A lot of characters in Hamlet that are dynamic but today I’m only going to be talking about one. The setting takes places in Denmark city of Elsinore. The plot as the play is hamlet getting revenge at king Claudius for the murder of Hamlets father.

Ophelia changes during from the beginning of the play to the end and ends up being a dynamic character. With this said, we see Ophelia as a young and lovely woman in the beginning of the play. We also see her as a person who is in love with someone else. She is torn between the idea that her father and her brother think that Hamlet would use her.  Ophelia’s heart has convinced her that Hamlet loves her, though he swears he never did. One main idea of Ophelia is the sense of romantic love ruling her during the play. The falling action of the play is when all the deaths starts happing and whenever character hates each other even more.

Ophelia changes at the end of the story in to a dynamic character. She slowly starts going crazy to the point where she can’t even take it anymore and kills herself. She also finds out, that Hamlet murdered her father and ends up losing the love she had for Hamlet. She proves that she can’t be on either side and her choice seals her fate. To Hamlet, Ophelia is a sexual object with no mother to guide her. Ophelia also ends up lying to Hamlet and tells him that Polonius is home when he is not and is in the room eavesdropping. The tone of Ophelia changes the story and she end up giving Hamlet a different attitude then in the beginning.

This character changes the theme, and tone of the story because she changes the story over all. Ophelia ends up telling Hamlet that if they ever end up having kids that they will be sinners because Hamlet is a sinner.  Hamlet and Ophelia end up having a lot of arguments during the play about the love that she had for him. Hamlet didn’t love her because he would aways put her down about anything she said. When Ophelia drowns herself it wakes up every other character and starts asking questions like why they think she killed herself and ended up sinning. After her death, there ends up being an argument with the clowns burying her in a Christian cemetery.

The end this play shows that everyone has problems in their family no matter how high of rank they are. It shows that to be or not to be is the real question because you can either be one thing or not be and it ends up being a big part of your life. With all this, we should take the fact to live life to the fullest no matter what kind of problems are going on. We can all learn something from this play either trust or things like it. Were all these deaths worth it, just to get to the top and get all the power?
